Rarotonga is an eco-tourist dream. With lush forest that can be toured and marine preserves great for snorkeling, such as the one situated in Tikioki-there has some of the best off-beach snorkeling. Though few and far between, stonefish are present, so ensure you wear reef shoes to prevent injury.

In between your R&R if you would like some fun and food visit Muri for the night markets. It takes place 4 days a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). On Thursday nights there is great live entertainment.
As a tiny foot note, I should add to bring your mosquito spray, since this is a tropical island, you will have to use it so you will enjoy your vacation even more.
